Hampshire FA Enters into Partnership with Mayflower Theatre
Mayflower Theatre is delighted to be entering into a partnership with Hampshire FA with a focus on delivering short and long term projects in the local area and for the benefit of the local community. Discussing the partnership with Hampshire FA, Mayflower Theatre Chief Executive Michael Ockwell says: “We are delighted to partner with Hampshire FA – all my children have participated in football at a local level so I am personally aware of the great work that takes place at the grass roots. We are an organisation that is passionate about offering young people opportunities to engage in the creative arts and there is a real synergy with sport in ensuring that access is available for all abilities. I look forward to developing our association to the benefit of all Hampshire residents.“
“We are delighted to be working with Mayflower theatre and to introduce a new community partner to our programme. Mayflower Theatre is a prestigious attraction in our county, bound with a long history and legacy much like our own association. The partnership will see Hampshire FA communicate to a diverse range of audiences; we will also be featured as a partner in the brochures increasing awareness of our brand and what we represent as an organisation in non-football environments. Our aim and mission is to use the power of football to build a better future for all, linking with key partners will help spread the word for grassroots football opportunities by communicating this very mission to as many persons and as many demographics as possible”. Neil Cassar, Hampshire FA Chief Executive.
Mayflower Theatre is the biggest theatre on the south coast with just over 2,270 seats in the auditorium. Additionally, there are many other facilities on site including Ovation restaurant, conference suites and more, with a diverse range of packages suitable for everyone and a whole host of events scheduled throughout the year for all to enjoy. The aim is to bring a diverse range of shows to Southampton, presenting a mixture of spectacular touring productions, from musicals - many direct from the West End – to dance, opera, drama, ballet and comedy. The theatre is independent and operates as a charitable trust – with no direct funding from any external bodies, all monies are generated from tickets sales and invested back into the theatre, to support the local community and education strategies and ensure the upkeep of the Grade II listed theatre.
More details will be revealed across our channels on the collaboration between the Hampshire FA and the Mayflower Theatre. Additionally, the partnership will see giveaway prizes in the year and member packages promoted on various events on an ad-hoc basis.
